| 2007 Finalists Chosen!
The five finalist games this year were:
Slinkybomb (Pomona College) teaches kids about physics properties through very fun
"get the ball in the cup" puzzles. The game even allows kids to create their own puzzles.
CheMeteor (Pomona College) uses an Asteroids-like format, getting students to shoot the meteors with the right kind ofweapon to create chemical compounds and neutralize them.
Tank-Q (Columbia Teachers College) is a "save the planet" tank shooting game that teaches forces
and acceleration while students try to save the world.
Newton's Carnival (UC Santa Barbara) has students make their way through a series of "Rube
Goldberg" type machines and learn Newton's Laws while they're at it.
Dragonfly (Anne Arundel Community College) is a 3D adventure game where students fly through the ocean
as adragonfly larva, trying not to get eaten by fish and learning science along the way.
